WorkIt.com provides resources, opportunities and events listings for start-ups. This is a very useful service to help keep start-up professionals abreast of events and networking opportunities in the San Francisco Bay Area.

The Silicon Valley Association of Start-up Entrepreneurs (SVASE)

The Silicon Valley Association of Start-up Entrepreneurs, SVASE, is a good educational and networking resource for entrepreneurs. It offers a rich program of events including a monthly main event, a breakfast club, forums and peer-to-peer networking meetings.


SDForum, is a good source of information and networking in Silicon Valley. It offers 20-30 events each month, including monthly spotlight events, business seminars, and Special Interest Groups (SIGs).

The VC Task Force

The VC Task Force offers programs that address the immediate issues, concerns and challenges of venture capital firms and portfolio companies. Programs include breakfast workshops, venture capital community mixers and emerging technology forums.

The North Bay Software & Information Technology Association (SofTECH)

The North Bay Software & Information Technology Association, SofTECH, sponsors monthly main events featuring interesting topics, generally on the subject of information technology, in addition to a wide variety of Special Interest Groups (SIGs).

The Churchill Club

The Churchill Club offers programs featuring Silicon Valley CEOs, up-and-coming executives and national business leaders.

The MIT/Stanford Venture Laboratory
(Venture Lab)

The MIT/Stanford Venture Laboratory (Venture Lab) is the San Francisco Bay Area chapter of the MIT Enterprise Forum, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the growth and success of high-tech entrepreneurial ventures by connecting ideas, technology and people. 


Bounce ideas monthly off of 6-8 peer-based CEOs. All executives need to vent frustrations or brainstorm ideas in a neutral environment that does not exist within their company. CEOnetworking is a Membership Organization for CEOs providing an efficient way to create a peer-based board that does not have a vested interest in the company.

Right-Hand Partners

Right-Hand Partners connects start-ups and emerging companies to potential investors and service providers. RHP offers a series of events such as the Execution Matrix Workshop, Visibility Conference, Carpe Diem! Lunchtime Pitching Event, Fearless Leaders Forum and others.

The Lester Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation

The Lester Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at UC Berkeley focuses on  the study and promotion of entrepreneurship and new enterprise development. Programs include the Entrepreneurs Forum, Best Practices Series and the Business Plan Competition.
